Alison has considerable experience in operational and strategic management roles in a range of organisations. Nearly half of her career has been spent in the Education Sector with East Kent Colleges Group.

While managing a complex, diverse, and demanding portfolio within EKC Group, Alison led on and established effective strategies and frameworks for the management and compliance of health and safety, data protection, complaints, Freedom of Information requests, contracts, leases, and licences. Alison has a comprehensive understanding of these areas’ regulatory and statutory requirements, and her expertise in corporate matters ensured risks to EKC Group were minimised.

Alison also led on key policies and procedures for EKC Group, ensuring they were appropriately researched, relevant, and consulted before implementation.

Alison has a sound understanding of the people agenda, including equality, diversity, and employment law, and is passionate about embedding staff well-being and psychological safety.
