Tobi is an experienced leader with a varied background spanning education governance, transport operations, project management and digital transformation. At the heart of his work is a strong commitment to people, education and creating opportunities for others. He has worked for Transport for London for more than 14 years in a range of operational and management roles, gaining extensive experience in safety-critical operations, leadership, stakeholder engagement and organisational improvement. He is also a member of the Chartered Institution of Railway Operators. Tobi holds a degree in Agric-Economics and a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing.

His academic and professional journey has shaped his broad interests in leadership, strategy, technology and effective governance, as well as a desire to keep learning and developing throughout his career. Alongside his professional career, Tobi is passionate about education and helping children and young people fulfil their potential. He has served as Chair of Governors at Aylesham Primary School since 2022, working alongside school leaders and fellow governors to support school improvement, safeguarding, inclusion and positive outcomes for pupils. Tobi is also Executive Director of Kent Junior School of Fashion & Arts CIC, a community-focused organisation providing creative arts, fashion, design, engineering and robotics opportunities for children and young people. Through KJSF, he has helped create opportunities for young people to build confidence, discover their talents, develop practical and creative skills, and raise their aspirations. A particular focus of his work is ensuring that a young person’s background or financial circumstances do not limit the opportunities available to them, with free and subsidised programmes helping more children and families access high-quality learning and enrichment experiences.

A technology enthusiast, Tobi has a particular interest in artificial intelligence, especially its responsible use and governance, as well as cybersecurity and digital innovation. He is interested in how emerging technologies can be used thoughtfully and safely to improve education, organisations and wider society. Away from work and governance, Tobi enjoys spending time with his family, watching movies and following football. He values opportunities to relax, spend time with the people closest to him and maintain a healthy balance alongside his professional and community commitments.’
